Twenty Years. One Craft.

Founded in 2005 by Wang Daomin and Edward Chiu as a single-line acetate workshop in Shenzhen, Guangdong. As the work grew, production moved to its home in Heyuan. Today, two production centres across China and Thailand — the Thailand site is a 50/50 joint venture with Weilan Optical (Thailand), opened June 2025 to insulate partners from U.S. tariff exposure.

Six-person in-house design studio. Engineering across acetate, metal, titanium. 450-person production workforce. Raw acetate from Italian and domestic houses — Eleung, Mazzucchelli, Huayi, Jinyu, Jimei. Metal and titanium stock from OBE, Comotec, and HQ.

Audited by BSCI and by LRQA (SMETA, Weilan Thailand). Certified to ISCC PLUS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, CE, ANSI, JIS, and registered with the U.S. FDA. 100% per-frame inspection. No subcontract work.

President · Founder

Wang Daomin

Wang Daomin started CIC in 2005 as a single acetate line in Shenzhen and built it into a two-country manufacturer of 450 people. He holds the company's core process patents — the Push-Thru multi-layer pressing method and the stone-inlay lamination process — and still sets direction on capital projects, new technique development, and long-term partner relationships. The 2025 Thailand joint venture was his move to put CIC's quality within reach of brands wherever they sell.

Edward Chiu

Edward co-founded CIC and runs operations across both factories — Heyuan and Bangkok — after twenty years on the floor, from raw-acetate intake to final QC. He is the partner-side lead most brands deal with directly: briefs, sample plans, lead times, and the day-to-day of moving a collection into continuous production.
